Though her rusty patina may have you thinking otherwise, “Renata” is a young fish. She eats mostly old kitchen appliances and occasionally old bicycles. Now that she’s grown to a mature size in the safety of my studio, she’s ready for a new home. She is large and is fully prepared to live indoors or outside. (70” x 44” x 28” plus optional base 42” x 27” x 17”)

“Renata” is made of hand cut and shaped steel, reclaimed bicycle and motorcycle parts. Her eyes are custom, handblown glass spheres, backlit by LED bulbs. Her eyelids are reclaimed, vintage desk lamps. She has one AC motor that operates her head, jaw, tail, and side fins. There are three portals within her body that show the inner workings of the mechanism - which are also lit by 3 separate LED bulbs. She may be mounted on the tall stand, or transferred to a smaller, table top base. This sculpture may be displayed indoors or outside.
